Happiness in all seasons
Cavalaire is a charming old fishing town built around its port offering a rich variety of exceptional nature sites. Our town has become a cosmopolitan town with a rich and interesting historical and cultural heritage such as the Mont-Jean Oppidum, the Pardigon site with its archaeological excavation works and the Domaine Foncin bastide. With its many attractions, its sea and land environment, its generous climate and quality of life, Cavalaire had everything it took to become a tourist destination.
Built behind a magnificent bay that bears its name and nestled at the foot of the Pradels hill, Cavalaire-sur-mer has been a classified Beach Resort since 1956. Tourism is the Town's main economic sector. The tourism sector here is incontestably promising for the area's current and future economy and employment. The town's tourism policy revolves around 4 main axes:

  • A policy for receiving tourists well and organising entertainment and events, accompanied by tourist promotion and coordination organisations (Tourist Office and Events Committee)
  • Support with the organisation and development of the range of products and services for tourists in sync with social demand,
  • External promotion of the resort, with numerous promotional operations on national and European markets,
  • Bringing services, developments and facilities up to premium quality to meet the requirements of a demanding tourist population.

Appropriate tools are in place, such as the Cavalaire Tourist Office with its highly-qualified staff and excellent resources. It also contributes to reinforcing the very specific image of Cavalaire. Gradually moving away from spontaneous tourism towards mass tourism, the current ambition of the town of Cavalaire is to reinforce the resort's image as a tourist destination on a European scale, whilst most importantly developing a very high quality style of tourism. The local council and the Tourist Office have decided to take on this challenge together.
