The beaches
Warm sea, fine sand!
4km of sandy beach for relaxing, bathing in the crystal-clear waters and building sand castles.
You may also want to try out some of the more energetic activities such as sailing, water skiing, giant rubber rings or pedalo boats

Off season, the beach is just as enrapturing, offering beautiful walks in an exquisite setting! Notice that the colour of the sea is permanently changing with the different times of day and different weather conditions.

USEFUL INFORMATION

Clean beaches and water
The beaches in Cavalaire are cleaned both manually and mechanically every day throughout the summer season.
The DDASS inspects the quality of the water every week throughout the summer. The Marine Observatory takes samples of the seawater every day for analysis. Results from these inspections are displayed at the two lifeguard stations and at the Tourist Office.
To see all the results, visit the website www.observatoire-marin.com , in the " Préservation et restauration du milieu" section

Marine Observatory

In 1996, Cavalaire created the Marine Observatory, a scientific and technical decision-making tool.
The districts of Rayol-Canadel, Croix-Valmer and Ramatuelle have now become partners in this scheme by forming an inter district organisation for the Maures coastline - SIVOM - which is delegated the task of environmental management.
The mission of the Marine Observatory encompasses the protection and sustainable development of the natural heritage of the Maures coastline. Its different actions are founded on the knowledge of coastal environments, the development of awareness-raising initiatives and operational action with regard to the coastal environments and their usage
